Ungozu R & D Researcher Development Programme Terms
Draft for operational use and legal review.
Programme scope
The programme provides structured researcher development, mentoring, cohort learning, accountability, practical research-development resources and progress review. It does not guarantee publication, grant funding, employment, promotion, admission, collaboration or any other external outcome.
Participant responsibility
Participants remain responsible for the integrity, legality and quality of their research, submissions, data, authorship decisions, institutional approvals and use of AI or other tools. Mentoring feedback is developmental guidance, not a substitute for formal institutional supervision, ethics approval, legal advice or professional services.
Fees and payment
Fees are determined by the participant’s approved fee plan. Payment amounts are generated by the programme system after admission. Instalment plans remain subject to the stated schedule. Scholarship/subsidy awards, where approved, are reflected before payment processing begins.
Attendance and completion
Programme completion and any certificate of completion may depend on satisfactory participation, required development reviews, agreed outputs, the year-end research portfolio and other published completion requirements.
Research integrity
Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, undisclosed inappropriate AI use, misrepresentation of authorship or other serious research-integrity breaches may lead to review, suspension or removal from the programme.
Withdrawal, deferral and refunds
The final production version should state the exact withdrawal, deferral and refund rules that will apply to the Founding Cohort before participants make payment. Those rules should be visible before checkout and included in the admission materials.
Changes
Reasonable programme-schedule or delivery adjustments may be made where necessary, while preserving the core developmental commitments. Material changes should be communicated to participants.
These terms should be reviewed before launch by an appropriate Nigerian legal/data-protection professional and reconciled with the final refund, tax, payment and record-retention arrangements.
